Our Story

Once upon a time in southwest Ohio, two young-at-heart grandparents yearned for something new. They wanted to build a small business that would contribute to a healthy lifestyle, put them in touch with farm life, and allow them to involve their nine grand”kids” along the way. Becoming farmers at this late stage was not in the cards, but having a farm connection…now, that sounded ideal.

Along life’s journey, you occasionally meet people you never forget! The GrandGoat Soap Company was born through one of those connections. When we reached out to a friend from an earlier life chapter, she and her husband invited us to visit their small goat farm and tour the pristine soap-making workshop just a few miles away.
If you’ve ever wondered if the farmer in the dell truly exists, we can emphatically say “yes!” With the couple’s home sitting on a hillside, the goats were grazing in a small, sheltered, woodland valley below. A trusty watchdog meandered among them while the little herd happily greeted us like old friends. The milk of these Nigerian Dwarf goats (the smallest of all goat breeds) provides the enzyme-rich, vitamin-packed nutrients that nourish the skin in the best possible ways.

And, you know what? Goats just know how to have fun! Their tails are always up, they climb and bounce around just because they can, and you can’t help but smile when you watch them.
So, after falling in love with the goats, and experiencing the profound benefits of the soap, we took a “leap” of faith and formed our company. Our mottos are “Go On And Try” and “Get Out And Thrive” because it’s never too late to start something new! We should all aim to live with the joy and abandon that goats do! We hope you’ll try our soap and put the gift of these goats into your daily routine!

Sincerely,
The GrandGoats, Chip and Robin with The Grand “Kids”
