The GrandGoats Circa 1979

What sounded like a fairly simple idea six months ago morphed into a big challenge for two almost-septuagenarians who wanted to “Go On And Try” (one of our mottos) to form an e-commerce store selling the very finest in goat milk soap.

But, the day has come, and it’s coinciding with our 46th anniversary which seems rather appropriate since we were married in the Year of the Goat on March 24, 1979. And, strangely enough, we were both born in the Year of the Goat in 1955. So, somehow, we feel we’ve come full circle. Now, the goal is to sell “at least a few bars of soap” by the next Year of the Goat which will be in 2027! Our hopes are much higher but we still wonder how anyone on the worldwide web will find us...so evidently, the next thing we tackle is social media and that should really be a “blast” as we attempt to launch that!

The team at Lantern Sol has certainly lit the way for creating our website with unending patience beginning with the challenge of finding two goat faces that we thought “captured us” for our logo. They’ve led us with a steady hand and sure-footedness along the winding path of Shopify and ShipStation and we are ever so grateful!

So, now, it’s off to Cyberspace and we’re hoping for a smooth journey considering one of us has a hip replacement and one of us has a knee replacement...but we’re still determined to “Get Out And Thrive!” One thing we know for sure - our soap is truly outstanding and we hope you’ll feel the very same way!
